Meet the Founder
Hi there, I'm Katherine! I am a tutor, artist, and researcher devoted to furthering the academic literature that explores the connections between neuroscience and performing arts. I am currently a graduate student at Teachers College, Columbia University, where I am studying Neuroscience & Education. But how did I get here?
I earned my 200-hour yoga teacher certification and uncovered the healing tools I needed to succeed. Now, I bring those tools, and more, to my students and my work.
I was diagnosed twice-exceptional with ADHD as a toddler and struggled in school for most of my life. As a teacher, I’m devoted to supporting neurodivergent children in school and beyond. Outside of the classroom, I am a professional actor and artist. I love being able to perform and use my creative work as a tool to show students how amazing our ADHD brains are.

I started Big Brain Scholars because I've finally become the teacher I always needed to succeed. I took myself from college dropout to the Dean's List, but, like most ADHD brains, I had to do it my way.
